Order Status

Check the status of your most recent orders by visiting our Order Status page. This is the easiest and fastest way to get the most current information regarding your Smashbox Online orders.

When you click on Order Status you will be prompted to log in with your email address and password. An order summary page will provide you with detailed information about your current and past orders. After your order is shipped, your tracking number, if available, will be displayed. To track your order via the carrier’s Web site, you may click on the tracking number to view the delivery status of your order.

Please note: Tracking information may not be available for up to 24 hours after the order is shipped.

Missing or Lost Orders

If the tracking information for your package is confirmed delivered, and you are unable to locate the delivered package please:

  1. Check with neighbors and family members
  2. Look around the delivery location
  3. Check for notice of attempted delivery
  4. Contact the carrier directly who can assist further

Note: Smashbox Online monitors claims of lost, missing, wrong and damaged items for abuse. Lost, missing, wrong and damaged items must be reported immediately upon receipt of the shipment, and any damaged, wrong, missing items must be retained (including the shipper). Smashbox Online reserves the right to limit or deny the reshipment or credit of an order/item in all instances.

Order Cancellations

Let’s say you placed an order, then changed your mind. It happens! Call us at 1-888-763-1361. We’ll do our very best to catch the order before it ships. 

Occasionally, orders or portions of an order are canceled by our system for various reasons, including:

•One or more items are not available 
•Difficulty processing payment information
•We can’t ship to the address provided
•A duplicate order was placed
•Cancelation due to customer request

If your order is canceled, you’ll receive an email notice explaining why. Don’t worry—you won’t be billed for any canceled items. If you’d like to place a new order or if you have questions about a canceled order, dial 1-888-763-1361. We’re excellent listeners.

Out of Stock/Backordered Items

Let’s say the item you’re obsessed with is out of stock when you order. Don’t stress! We’ll send an email to let you know the expected shipping date. Backordered items are shipped as soon as they are available—and we never charge you until it ships. P.S. The actual delivery date of your order depends on the shipping method you selected at checkout.

Want to cancel a backordered item? No biggie. Just call us at 1-888-763-1361 to hit the brakes.


Pre-Order is the ability to reserve a product prior to the date on which it becomes available for immediate purchase on www.smashbox.com. When you purchase a Pre-Order item, we will provide an estimated ship date for that item on your order confirmation email; this date is also visible in the Order History section of your account. Pre-Order items may ship separately from other items in your order, and you will receive a shipping confirmation email when the shipment occurs. If we are unable to ship your product by the estimated ship date, we will provide you with notice and you will have an option to cancel.

Smashbox does not charge your credit or debit card until your item(s) has shipped. However, prior to shipment, your debit or credit card statement may show an “authorization hold,” which may look similar to a deduction from your account. These funds have not been deducted but are instead being reserved within your account to ensure that your order can be processed. The authorization hold will typically last from three to seven days, depending on the policy of your bank or card issuer.

Maximum Purchase Policy

Don’t you hate it when people hog all the good cosmetics? That’s why we limit orders to no more than eight (8) and 14 total items per customer. In addition, we must also limit orders to no more than three (3) orders per customer per day. If you’re part of Smashbox Pro, you’re limited to no more than 3 units of any item with a maximum purchase of $500 per customer. In addition, we must also limit orders to no more than three (3) orders per customer per day. (Is this totally breaking your heart? Call us at 1-888-763-1361 to talk it out.)

Payment Options

Please note: Orders placed with Afterpay & Gift Cards will be charged at the time of order placement. Orders placed with other payment methods will be charged at the time the order ships.

Smashbox.com accepts American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa, PayPal, Afterpay and credit cards issued by U.S. financial institutions. Please enter your billing address exactly as it appears on your credit card statement. For orders shipped to the U.S., we accept billing addresses from the U.S., Canada and select international countries.

Subscribe & Save

Our Subscribe & Save service makes sure you never run out of your Smashbox faves! Eligible items will appear in your Shopping Bag with a Subscribe & Save notation. Use the drop-down menu to choose your frequency (every 30, 45, 60, 75, 90 or 120 days).

Want to manage Subscribe & Save settings? Log in on Smashbox.com and visit MY ACCOUNT.

To activate Subscribe & Save, just select the frequency for future shipments from the product page or your Shopping Bag. You can opt out at any time prior to shipment. We don’t do clingy relationships =] We’ll send an email reminder whenever Subscribe & Save items are about to ship. Within a few days, your order will be mailed to your default shipping address and charged to your default payment method. Easy, right? You’ll also receive a second email confirming the shipment and the fact that your credit card has been billed.

After your first shipment, Subscribe & Save orders can be canceled and the frequency can be changed at any time—except after the order has been processed for shipment! To cancel or modify a Subscribe & Save order, visit the My Account section of Smashbox.com and click View/Edit under Auto Delivery. Please note: Start dates must be set at least 2 business days from the current date. We promise to keep it coming. Nobody expects you to live without Legendary red lipstick.

Sales Tax

We are required by law to collect state sales tax on orders being shipped to the following states - AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, LA, KS, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NE, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV.
